Um jogo de tiro em primeira pessoa para um jogador e prequela de *Doom* (2016). Ambientado no sombrio mundo medieval de Argent D'Nur, os jogadores controlam o Doom Slayer em um estilo de combate realista e pesado, que prioriza confrontos estratégicos em detrimento da mobilidade acrobática dos títulos anteriores. O jogo apresenta uma “Shield Saw” para bloquear e desviar ataques, novas armas brancas e veículos pilotáveis, incluindo um dragão cibernético e um enorme mecha. A narrativa se concentra na história de origem do Slayer, com cenas cinematográficas mais elaboradas e um aprofundamento no desenvolvimento dos personagens.
