«Yakuza: Kiwami» es una nueva versión mejorada del juego original de «Yakuza» para PlayStation 2, no solo una adaptación a alta definición. Aunque la versión original para PS2 también contaba con doblaje en inglés para su lanzamiento en Occidente, esta nueva versión para PS4 solo conserva el doblaje en japonés en aras de la autenticidad, con subtítulos disponibles para otros países.
