『龍が如く 極』は、PlayStation 2用『龍が如く』の単なるHD移植版ではなく、機能を強化したリメイク版です。オリジナルのPS2版では欧米向けリリースに際して英語音声も収録されていましたが、このPS4リメイク版では、本物の雰囲気を再現するため日本語音声のみを採用し、その他の国向けには字幕が用意されています。
