Resident Evil 4: Ultimate HD Edition è il secondo porting di Resident Evil 4 su Windows, questa volta basato sulle versioni per Xbox 360 e PlayStation 3 con una grafica aggiornata. A differenza del porting originale, questa versione presenta effetti di illuminazione, filmati in tempo reale anziché renderizzati (ad eccezione della campagna "Separate Ways"), supporto per il mouse e integrazione con Steamworks.
Questa versione include tutti i contenuti aggiuntivi già presenti in precedenza, compresi gli obiettivi delle ultime versioni HD per console. Il gioco può essere giocato con texture in qualità SD e HD; sono state inoltre aggiunte un'opzione filtro e un'opzione di blocco del frame rate (FPS), che consente all'utente di scegliere tra 30 o 60 FPS.
Questa versione include tutti i contenuti aggiuntivi già presenti in precedenza, compresi gli obiettivi delle ultime versioni HD per console.
