The majority of violence is unrealistic in nature. Both the player's character and enemies simply flash when hit, resulting a a reduction in health. When enemies are defeated, they break apart into rocks and the fragments are then sucked in by the player's character. When the player's character is defeated, it breaks apart and reforms at the nearest checkpoint. Boss battles feature more moderate violence, with characters bleeding and making pained sounds in response to violence. It is also possible to remove an enemy's limbs, although there is no gory detail.
