『Outward』は、オンラインまたは分割画面で、一人で、あるいは友人と一緒にプレイできるオープンワールドRPGです。しかし、これは単なる協力プレイ可能なオープンワールドRPGにとどまらず、冒険者の人生をシミュレートするゲームでもあります。プレイヤーは、冒険者としてのささやかな始まりから引退に至るまでの人生を体験します。 あなたの人生は、単にモンスターを倒して戦利品を略奪するだけではありません。食事や水分補給、睡眠も必要であり、危険に身を投じる前にはそれ相応の準備を整えなければなりません。魔法や異色の生物が存在するハイファンタジーの世界でありながら、あらゆる要素がより現実的で、行動に重みを感じるよう設計されています。

Open world role playing game in which you start as the survivor of a shipwreck who is suddenly made homeless after you do not pay your debts on time. With no place to go you decide to strike out on your own in the world, starting as an adventurer and progressing on to wherever your feet take you, fighting hard to survive along the way.
