ある日突然、闇の波が光のプリズムを乱し、世界の光を吸い込み始めた。それから夜が続き、朝の光は失われ、人々は暗闇の中で不安な日々を送っていた。 一方、そんな事態に全く無関心な大食いの魔法使いコットンは、妖精シルクからの依頼を知らない。しかし、モンスターを退治すれば大好きなウィローが手に入るという話を聞いたとき、それはあまりにも魅力的だった！ とにかく、コットンとウィローの冒険の旅が始まる。
