Über das Spiel
Das 1998 erschienene Spiel war der erste 3D-Titel der Metal Gear-Reihe. Das Spiel war wegweisend für das 3D-Stealth-Action-Genre vor dem Hintergrund der Bedrohung durch Krieg und globale Atomwaffen und verband Live-Action-Aufnahmen sowie filmreife Zwischensequenzen mit innovativem Gameplay. Die Handlung, ein Wirbelwind aus Intrigen und Verrat, wurde als die großartigste Geschichte des 20. Jahrhunderts gefeiert. Als dritter Titel der Metal Gear-Reihe wurde das Spiel in den folgenden Jahren zum Hit.
